Machinable Ceramics, TBS, an outcome from Isolite’s experience in making space ship’s thermal tiles commissioned by NASDA (current Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency), is ceramic fiber-based material with three-dimensional reticulate structure and has excellent features of lightweight, strength, permeability, and resistance against thermal shock and machinability.
・Lightweight, low heat capacity
・Strong against thermal shock
・Easy to make complex configurations
1. Molds for mirror glasses
2. As machinable ceramics
